In August 2011, Alemtshaye Gebrekidan led a group of Ethiopian women and their children to No 10 Downing Street where they delivered a petition to the Prime Minister regarding the plight of the former child wives in the horn of Africa.
In April 2012, Alemtshaye Gebrekidan was privileged to attend a meeting at the Church House, London, where she exchanged views with Rev. Malcolm Macnaughton, who is the Chief of Staff to the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu.
